Why does kotor 2 keep crashing

I tried this, and it helped a little, but the cinematic after the title crawl crashes the game. I couldn't find an in-game option to disable movies, so I tried changing the 'Disable Movies' option in that file to 0 it was 1 originally. I admit that I'm about as useful as a kitten at these kinds of things.

Any thoughts? All of the cinematics still play too. Last edited by Buzzkil88 ; 17 Jul, pm. I ran the game after the above fix , it crashed twice randomly within an hour, so i then went and got the mod and have had almost no problems since.

I kind of wish Steam would stop selling these games then. I had a similar difficulty with Jade Empire. Haven't tried the mod pack yet, but when I do I'll let you know how it did. The game is crashing on you because of screen ratios.

Open Steam, and go to Kotor in your library. Right Click kotor and go down to propreties. In propreties there should be an update tab, click on it. I have threaded optimisation turned off in my control panel too. One crash was when the game transitioned into GO-TO's yacht and showed off the bounty hunters.
