Where is delsey made

The fabric used for the interior feels incredibly luxurious and well-made. I always look for two designated shoe pockets in the interior of suitcases when I am in the market for a new piece of luggage and the Delsey suitcase does a phenomenal job of offering multiple compartments and utilizing the space to its full capacity. The case splits equally in two so you can pack both sides.

Apparently, you can register your bag on the Delsey website as each suitcase features a tracking plate should your luggage get lost. The cream color makes this particular piece of luggage especially delicate.

The remedy that worked best was to to buff out the scuff marks using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Speaking of Nordstrom Rack , they always have an excellent selection of luggage and the prices can be pretty incredible when they go on clearance. Just like many warranties on the market, you have almost a false sense of security. You are probably better off reaching out to the airline about a problem with your luggage than you are to Delsey citing the warranty.

Have you purchased a Delsey hardside luggage? What has been your experience with the Delsey Paris brand? I personally still use a more secure, separate TSA lock on my cases. Another popular model from Samsonite is the Winfield Fashion 2 Spinner. This model is quite similar to the Omni above, but the outer case is a lot shinier and comes without the micro-diamond pattern. So, there is really not that much difference between this case and the Omni, only the outer shell and look.

The other noticeable feature difference is in the inner mesh divider for the top part of the bag, It has two extra zippered pockets for storage.

It also has some rubber feet for when you stand it on its side. The Winfield is also a little heavier, and in the two larger models, also a bit longer in overall size end to end. These days, the Delsey suitcases are on par with Samsonite in terms of quality and features. There is also very little difference between them in terms of features, so often the choice comes down to price, color, or other small things that may be important to you.

I have used Delsey almost exclusively for years and traveled all around the world with them, and they are almost unbreakable. That meant I had to attach some zip-ties to replace them. But otherwise, they were bulletproof! Now, I have a new set, and so far, I am super happy with them. It has almost all the features you could want and is made of quality materials that should last you for years.

Just like the Samsonite reviews above, I am going to break down this first suitcase into areas, to show you exactly what you get. Just like the Samsonite Omni suitcases, the Delsey Aero has a durable and scratch-proof Polycarbonate material.

Delsey has also made the pattern of the suitcase in an undulating up and down kind of wave to help reduce scratches over time. And noteworthy here is that even the smallest 20 inch has the side handle, which Samsonite chose to leave off their cases. The top and side handle is also super strong and uses the same retractable system that lifts up to fit your hand under when you lift, but otherwise moves back to a more flat position.

This is great for keeping them out of the way. The telescopic handle for using with the wheels is also good quality aluminum, with a hard plastic handle and locks into position when expanded. The Delsey Aero opens like a clam, as well as all the other suitcases due, which is great for packing on two sides. On one side you have elastic straps to hold your luggage in and on the other a zippered compartment.

Where the Delsey goes a little further is to add a zippered pocket to the top of the divider panel on the upper side. This is usually only seen on more expensive luggage. They also have a zippered pocket on the open side, which is great for smaller items like jewelry. Expandable Zipper.

An extra zipper around the case allows you to expand your case up to 2 inches depends on the model. This gives you lots of flexibility in packing and securing your luggage. There is also the very popular TSA-friendly combination lock on this suitcase, which makes securing your suitcase a breeze. And a big bonus — no keys to lose.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, it has smooth double spinner wheels for easy rolling in the airport! Again something I am surprised to see on such an affordable case. Comparing the Delsey to the Samsonite we have to take a look at the Delsey Helium Titanium , which is a direct competitor to the Samsung Winfield. Again, this model is on par with the Delsey Comete above, but its outer material is a bit harder and looks shinier maybe even nicer.

The Delsey Helium Titanium is a great-looking suitcase that has all the features, that is for sure. Whether that is worth the difference in price is up to you. Just compare it closely with the others, and all the prices first, because they are all quite similar quality and cost. It only comes in the smallest model and is of course meant for carry-on. Some people might like it, but it also intrudes on the packable space you have in the main compartment so think about whether you really want or need it before buying it.

It also adds to the weight of the case with the extra material and zipper. Most brands tend to have 3 sizes such as a 20, 24, and inch suitcase.

As far as suitcases are concerned, all of the brands offer both hard and soft-shell cases in a wide variety of sizes — both carry-on and checked. You can buy them individually or in sets which often present a good value , especially if you need luggage for your family as well.

Each of the brands also offers authorized repair service in case your suitcase gets broken in transit, etc. To avoid having to cover the repair costs yourself, you might want to consider getting a travel insurance — for example from World Nomads.

In many cases, Delsey will be more expensive than Samsonite which in turn will be more expensive than American Tourister.

However, the actualy prices really vary from product to product, and so before picking any single brand out of the three, I recommend comparing the prices of the type of suitcase you are looking for on Amazon. Just to give you a quick idea, below are three similar carry-on suitcases — one from each brand — including their prices on Amazon.

While Samsonite has the longest history of the three companies, you cannot go wrong with any of the three. They all offer a wide variety of luggage — especially suitcases — and, whether you choose a Samsonite, an American Tourister, or a Delsey, you will most likely be satisfied with your purchase. As such, the actual choice of brand, and specific model, will eventually come down to your preferences in terms of design.

The one thing I would stick by, though, is to get a softshell or zippered hard shell carry on, and an actual hard shell suitcase with latches rather than zippers as your checked luggage.

Each of the three brands has their own online shop, however, if you are not particularly keen on any one of them, I recommend comparison shopping on Amazon where you can get a wide range of products from all three.

To start with, I recommend checking one from each of the brands and then seeing the suggested products. As for the three suitcases to start your search with, I recommend the following:. Based on my experience with all three brands, I would immediately exclude Delsey.

American Tourister is cheap and cheerful and if you re not an extensive traveller i would go for one. Samsonite Polypropylene non zip is the absolute best! It s built as a tank and i have done hundreds of flight with it. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
